PGN - Praise God Now . . . and forever!!

I finally broke down and called PGN this morning. It only took 4 tries to get through. You can probably guess what Laura told me by the title of the post. LOL
I got out of PGN on January 28!!! Today is my sil's birthday so we are really going to celebrate.
Thank you for all the prayers. Please pray now that I get Johanna's Mixco birth certificate without too much delay.

What PGN Really Stands For

A blog friend (Stacy) told me I needed to post this on my blog.

The other night I couldn't sleep. Usually when I can't sleep, I spend the time in prayer. That night I was praying about my case and PGN. God spoke to me while I was praying about what PGN means to Him and should mean to me. It is "Praise God Now!" Yes, that is what God wants me to do! Praise Him for what He is going to do. So now PGN means just that to me . . . PRAISE GOD NOW!!!!

Thank you God that You are going to see this case through to the end.

Extreme Makeover - Nursery Edition

The carpenter is finished with his part of the nursery. Mom decided we could do the mop board on our own. I was not looking forward to it until we rented the POWER SAW!!
What fun!!

How many 76 year olds do you know who can sit on the floor to work and get up again? My mom can!!!

Six Months Today

Today my baby girl is 6 months old!! As I was laying in bed this morning thinking about her I wanted so bad to hold her in my arms and hug her. This process is starting to get long.

Johanna,
I love you so very much! I hope you are healthy and happy. I pray for you constantly and can hardly wait to have you home with me. Have a good day Baby Girl.

Six Weeks!

I have been in PGN six weeks now. I should have about two weeks left. I don't think I have ever prayed so much in my life. I am trusting God for this process and am amazed at the peace I feel.
Hang in there Johanna Faith. Mommy will be down to get you soon.

Pray For My Friends

I have met (through the internet) so many new people during this adoption process. I fee blessed to have these people as my friends. Today two of my friends are really hurting.
Will and Aileen got a call today that their sweet baby, Ariana, passed away yesterday. I can't even imagine the grief they must be feeling. Please remember them, as well as the foster family and birth mother, in your prayers. They do have the assurance that Ariana is in the arms of Jesus but the hurt is still there. She made a huge impact on their lives and will be a part of their future in the memories they had with her.
God,
Please be with Will and Aileen. Send your Comforter to give them peace. I thank you for the blessing that Ariana was to them.

New Pictures . . .ALREADY

Edited to add: She got her ears pierced!! I am so glad. I didn't want to have to take her to have it done. I am too chicken!

I got new pictures of Johanna Faith already. It has been less than a month since the last ones but, I'm not complaining. I may be biased but I think she is beautiful!! She now weighs 15.51 pounds.

My First Baby

My first baby girl got her hair cut yesterday. Since she looked so cute I decided to take a picture and post about her. Maggie is a Yorkshire Terrier and will be 10 years old in February. She is soooooooo spoiled rotten. She follows me through the house and sits on the couch beside me. She also sleeps with me. I don't know how Maggie is going to take it when Johanna comes home. She doesn't really like kids too much and wishes they would just leave her alone.

My friends the Hart Family got PINK today. I am so happy for them. Their appointment to get Analia is January 16. They are again taking a package down for Johanna from me. Below is what is going to Johanna for Valentine's Day.

3-4 Weeks in PGN

I found out today that my case entered PGN December 10. That means I have been in either 3 or 4 weeks. I am going with 3 weeks because of the holidays. That is good! I am getting so much closer and really praying for no kickouts.

Starting the Nursery

We have a carpenter working on the room that will be Johanna's. He worked about 3 days a couple weeks before Christmas and then quit coming. We didn't know what was going on but he still had equipment in the room. He finally called yesterday and asked if we had painted the room yet. He was waiting for us to paint and then call him to finish. Total lack of communication!!
So . . . today I had to rush out and choose border and then get paint. This afternoon the painting will begin. I hate painting!!
You will have to wait until I am finished to see pictures. I think it is going to be awesome but also a lot of work. It will however, be so worth it.
